March 2007 - Completed building - So, what do you think? The above two photos show before and after shots. ITPAS objected to this planning application, but not on aesthetic grounds. The new building may (according to some) look fine, but what of any local impact? Read our article below, we run the oldest article at the bottom of the page and most recent at the top. Then you can provide us with some feedback. Please click here to fill in our feedback form
November 2006 - WBC approve application - After much delaying and no doubt serious negotiations on the part of the applicant, WBC Planning dept have decided to grant the later planning application which was for a first floor extension to the front of the above building. You can read the Councils 'decision notice' by clicking the below link, but remarkably this mentions the build has to be in accordance to the plans submitted on 6th October 2006 - plans of which no member of the public or interested party has had chance to view or comment upon! You can view the councils decision notice by clicking here. Do you have any further comment to make to ITPAS? click here to email our planning representative.
June 2006 - An amended (or new) application has been submitted in respect of these premises. Below you will find details of their initial application, which was refused. Now they have moved it around a little, but in our opinion this will be out of keeping for the area and not comply with WBC policies for the area. Not to mention the disturbance that will be caused by added air, noise and light pollution by the extra business this will bring and the increase in traffic congestion. What do you think? We will publish our letter of objection here shortly for you to use as a guide if you wish to object. The more objections, the less likely there will be council approval. As a further guide, you could view the councils decision for refusing the first application by clicking here. In the meantime, you can view the plans and email your comments from the WBC pages. April 2006 - These premises used to be a petrol station and garage and are now probably more aesthetically pleasing in their current use. However, residents and people who use Thurstaston Road as pedestrians or in/on a vehicle will have noticed the constant overspill parking on the road by users of the nursery. This becomes exacerbated when the nearby Dawpool school is opening/closing or when special events are on. Motorists from both establishments also use Thurstaston Road to drop off and collect children. Will this expansion cause further problems? You can view the plans and make comment about this application at the WBC planning website. Click here to go to the relevant page or email us with your comments. ITPAS objection. Comments wanted by 27th April 2006. WBC Decision - REFUSED - You can view the Councils decision notice by clicking here
