Fly Tippers

FLY TIPPERS CHRISTMAS SPOIL!

Not only is the pleasant countryside spoiled, Local Farmers access is cut off!

This is the horrifying view when you walk up Sandy Lane, Irby along the bridlepath towards Irby Quarry. Clearly some careless individual could not be bothered holding on to their rubbish over the Christmas period or is trying to avoid commercial tipping taxes. Either way, they have ruined the Christmas walk for many law abiding people who now have to carefully negotiate the rubbish unaware of any hidden dangers such as protruding nails in wood, for both people and animals that may use the path.

The obstruction is not only a health hazard, but a danger to both people and animals!

ITPAS have notified the local authority, but whether this will be cleared over the Christmas period is another matter. You could help by telling them too. Just send an email to streetscene@wirral.gov.uk pointing out the rubbish has been dumped just out of view from the access to Thurstaston Common on the bridle path, Sandy Lane, Irby.

Did you see anything?

Do you have any information?

If you see such incidents taking place then you should call the Police immediately by dialling 999. If not then please pass any information on to us by emailing us or contact StreetScene on 606 2004 or email them at streetscene@wirral.gov.uk with any information you have - descriptions of people involved, but particularly vehicles (this would have had to been a truck or skip load) including car numbers and/or names of companies on the side of vehicles.
