AGM & Summer Talk... Professor Stephen Harding Weds 4th June... See 'Whats On' page |
Update September 07 - Despite numerous objections to this application, WBC have astonishingly approved it! Despite being on land of Special Scenic Value, despite being on Green Belt AND despite the fact numerous other barns had been placed WITHOUT planning permission!! - now we know what Wirral Borough Council think of the Green Belt - AND - the applicant had the footings in BEFORE any apparent decision was made!! To add insult to injury, this decision appears to have been made at the desk of a Civil Servant! The matter DID NOT EVEN REACH COMMITTEE!!! - A point we will be remonstrating against considering the sensitive nature of such an application! We have written to the Chair of the Planning Committee Councillor John Cocker, but he has now gone sick. We shall continue to press for answers! July 2007 - A planning application has been submitted in respect of further development at Lee Farm, Thurstaston. This is the second recent application for development in this Green Belt area close to SSSI land, a Conservation Area and of course Green Belt.
This is a view of the Farm where sheds/barns/covers etc appear to be already plentiful
ITPAS will be scrutinising this application together with the full planning history of this little known 'Farm'.
The committee will be holding an extra-ordinary meeting to discuss this and other planning issues that are at the fore in our area and threatening the Green Belt here on The Wirral as a whole and even nationally!
A recent Ariel view shows the area - Notice anything missing?...
