The Grinch Stole Christmas

September 2009

.... and now we intend to take it back!!!

The Grinch Stole (Irby's) Christmas is our latest attempt to revitalise Irby Village. Many years ago, ITPAS purchased Christmas lights for Irby village, which over time went into a dilapidated condition. The Irby Club had taken responsibility for them, but sadly as traders vacated the village, interest waned and since 2007, Irby has been without the festive spirit thanks to The Grinch! Our objective is now to take it back and have one of the best celebrations the Village has seen for a long time!

So far, in addition to ITPAS the following groups involved:-

bullet

Irby Village Hall

bullet

The Shippons Pub

bullet

The Cowshed Crew (The Shippons Motorcycle Club)

bullet

Irby Primary School

bullet

Heswall Neighbourhood Police

More interest and donations have come from many of the Irby Traders, which has assisted with publicity and leaflets etc. A full list will follow shortly. In the meantime, here's the schedule...

5pm - Christmas songs by pupils of Irby Primary school and Dawpool C of E school

6pm - Santa and his helpers arrive on their motorbikes!

Santa moves on to The Shippons where a grotto will be available for the children and an on going evening event for adults

***Many of the Irby traders will be open and we ask you to support them***

This event is primarily for the benefit of our Children and to assist local traders

THE NEW CHRISTMAS LIGHTS HAVE BEEN FITTED...
